About MOONSTONE
Hardness-6 Name derived from its moonshine adularescence. From the feldspar group (including potassium). Deposits are found in Sri Lanka, Burma, Brazil, Madagascar, and the U.S. Most commonly occurring in colorless, gray and peach. Rainbow moonstone is clear to white with a spectral glow, mainly peacock blue. Moonstone is sensitive to pressure.
The energy of moonstone is balancing, introspective, reflective, and lunar. It relates to new beginnings and helps one to gracefully acknowledge change. It is a stone for feeling emotion and understanding change. It stimulates confidence through diplomacy. Once called the traveler’s stone, it protects against the perils of travel.
